As a part of our honeymoon trip, my wife and I went to the historic city of St. Augustine, Florida. Yes, it's a historical place but we weren't there for the historical tours. When we were planning this trip, my wife mentioned that she wanted to try other things at St. Augustine aside from visiting the typical historical destinations. So for this St. Augustine visit, I crossed out the "historical" choices and searched for the most romantic destinations and activities in the area.
Well, I knew there were other things worth trying at St. Augustine, so we went on a romantic schooner ride around Mantanzas Bay. Guys, if you want to make your woman love you more, take her on Schooner Freedom. My wife told me that was the most romantic boat ride we've ever tried. The two-hour sail made our trip memorable. Great view, great complimentary wine and great wife! There is nothing more to ask for. The Schooner Freedom experience was worth the money.
Our next stop was Claude's Chocolate. There are a number of St. Augustine shops to visit but I chose this one because my wife loves chocolates. So going to Claude's Chocolate meant more hugs and kisses from her. You should try the chocolate-covered almonds and caramel truffles. Those are my wife's favorites. The dark chocolate is also great.
Then we ate at a nearby restaurant named Casa Maya. I loved the guacamole and the wine is also of great quality. You should also try the veggie wrap which is an interesting combination of mango, avocado, tomato and beans. You may find the combination weird but it actually tastes great.
