My Perfect Weekend... |
|
I'm really fond of traveling alone. It gives me time to think about my actions in the past, and at the same time, I am able to have some relaxing time. So one weekend, I decided to go to Saint Augustine and just have the perfect weekend that I badly needed. First, I went to Ripley's Believe It or Not Museum. I really had a great time. Although kids will enjoy more, I got the chance to see some of the weirdest and most bizarre stuff that they have there. It was a real treat to the eyes, and was pretty mind boggling as well. After that exciting visit to Ripley's, I decided to go to the Fountain of Youth Archeological Park . I always find myself getting bored by historical places, but this one is different! Although it's a 15 acre park, I think it's more enjoyable to walk around when there are only a few people. The experience was a nice taste of history. I was really amazed with the way they were able to preserve the richness and the beauty of the place, injecting some new technologies in it. Late lunch-early dinner was spent at The Reef. Visiting The Reef is like hitting two birds with one stone. You get to enjoy the great food, and at the same time, you get to enjoy the perfect, and I mean PERFECT view of the ocean. I was really hungry, so I ordered Fried Green Tomatoes, crab cake sandwich, and grilled salmon sandwich. That was the first time I ordered that much, and I was really surprised that I was able to finish all of those! It was really tasty. Maybe because of the view, But who cares? Perfect food and perfect view really jives together. The last stop for my perfect weekend in Saint Augustine was at Black Raven Adventures. I was really glad I went here because the place is lovely. I went on board, and listened to the pirates as they sang songs of the sea! I also listened to professional Pirate Actors tell the true stories of pirate and privateer attacks. And the highlight of the night? The magic of Master Mayhem. He was a real magician. A true performer! Saint Augustine never fails me. I can't wait to go for another perfect weekend in Saint Augustine. But next time, I plan to take my girlfriend with me! |
